Reviving Tradition: The Essential Role of Doulas and Midwives in Childbirth

Through interviews with doulas, midwives, and families, the film delves into the personalized care and advocacy these professionals provide. It examines how they guide birthing families through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum care. The documentary also emphasizes the resurgence of traditional birth practices in the Black community and their critical importance in today’s healthcare system, aiming to advance healthy births.

Working Together

We are committed to community action by engaging media and reaching vulnerable community members across the state to increase awareness and provide accessibility.

This annual event allows for the furtherance of the arts through artistic expression and will allow for poets nationwide to partake in the literary arts through written expressions of poetry as well as the spoken word.

Stop the Violence

Our vision is to collaborate with other organizations to create opportunities centering on empowering people to speak up and out against violence in the Greater Lansing area and beyond.
